What we collect
To run the Service we collect the minimum data needed:
- Account data: email, name, and avatar URL when you sign in with Google.
- Habit data: the habits you create, the cues you choose, your daily logs, and any reasons you give for missed days.
- Usage events: anonymous session IDs and event names (page views, log taps) so we can understand which features are useful.
- Subscription data: the plan you bought, your billing status, and the period end. Payment details are handled by Paddle (our merchant of record); we never see or store your card.
What we don’t collect
- We do not sell your data, ever.
- We do not use third-party advertising or behavioural tracking pixels.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, or location.
How we use it
- Run the Service (showing your data back to you).
- Improve the Service (aggregate, anonymised analysis of which features work).
- Bill you for premium subscriptions (via Paddle).
- Email you about service-critical changes (and only those).
Where it lives
Data is stored on encrypted disks on a virtual machine in the United States (Google Cloud, us-central1). Web app, API, and database all live within the same private network.
Your rights
You can at any time:
- Export your habit data as JSON from the account page.
- Delete your account and all associated data.
- Email privacy@imperfectly.cc with any access, correction, or deletion request. We respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use one strictly necessary cookie (imp_session) to keep you signed in. We do not use marketing or analytics cookies.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13. If we learn we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will delete it.
Changes
If we materially change this policy, we will notify you by email or a banner on the Service before the change takes effect.
